Procedure for Hiring the School Facilities
Thank you for your enquiry about the hire of our school facilities. A booking form should be completed and returned to the school office. On receipt of each booking request, the Financial Manager will check the availability of venue and will confirm or decline the request.
If the booking request is for an extra-curricular activity for our students, the Principal or the relevant teacher will examine the programmes or interview the providers before the booking is confirmed.
Once the booking is confirmed, the hirers should read, sign and return the enclosed Agreement Form and pay the refundable deposit to the Financial Manager. For companies who hire the facilities on a termly basis, they are required to pay a non-refundable administration fee of HK$500 which will be deducted from the first term’s rent.
After the Agreement Form is completed, hirers can email their digital advertising to the school for uploading to the website for parents.
Hirers are required to purchase a third party liabilities insurance and Bradbury School shall be included as the name of insured. The amount shall be HK$5 million or above for low risk activities (e.g. music lessons, language lessons etc) and HK$10 million or above for high risk activities (e.g. sports events, yoga lessons etc).
All teachers running after school activities are required to sign the Declaration Form and observe the Code of Conduct listed by the E.S.F.
At the beginning of the school term, hirers will be informed of the schedules, which may interrupt their programme of events e.g. Parents Introductory and Consultations; Year Group Productions; Christmas Events; Special School Functions etc. It is important for hirers to inform the school if their class does not operate due to low registration of numbers so the school could hire out any unused locations.
Please note, all teachers running after school activities at 3:00pm must be available to meet their groups at 2:45pm in the ground covered playground beside the main car-park.
Please also note during the school day, parents/helpers should wait for children outside the main entrance. Vehicles should only enter the school grounds after 3:30pm to avoid congestion with school buses.
Hirers are required to provide a copy of their Business Registration and HKID.
When hiring for a Sunday booking, hirers are required to pay for the security guard charge and caretaker’s two hours overtime.
All hirers are required to to sign in and sign out of the premises with the office during weekdays and with the caretaker during weekends.
